Tonight
Pastor Stan delivers to us the final conclusion of the top ten questions asked
by both believers and nonbelievers. Join us as we continue to investigate the
Word of God.
4. If
the Bible is the Bible then why can it not be one word? Why is it such a heavy
work load to understand the Bible? The Bible was written not as books of the
bible but as letters, written during separate periods of time. These letters
were brought together by a council who put them together through a theme divine
intervention. If nothing points to Jesus Christ and the reconciliation of man
to God.
5. Where did God come from? In the beginning and He always was. (Genesis 1:1) “In the beginning God created the heavens
and the earth.” In the beginning God was there, He was there in the
beginning and He will always be there. God is Sovereign and omnipotent. He is
and will always be there. When you come across unbelievers tell them “the
beginning” to give them a starting point, a point to begin a conversation. Our
God is unique our God is not a point of two lines traveling infinitely opposite
each other. He is a circle without a point without an end. Additionally,
everything in life cannot be explained many times humanity always wants an
explanation for every creation, every pattern, and every theory. We must
understand we will not always comprehend the ways of heaven.
6. Where did the Devil come from? The Devil was formerly known as Lucifer
which means “bright, morning star, shining one,” God’s original intent was that
there was meant to be a devil. The Devil did not come from God. God created
Lucifer to be good. Before Lucifer was kicked out of heaven and turned himself
into Satan, this was what he proclaimed in his heart. Note the pride and the
arrogance to establish himself over the Most High.
Isaiah
14:12 (NKJV) “How you are fallen from heaven,
O
Lucifer,[b] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the
ground,
You
who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I
will ascend into heaven,
I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will
also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the
farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the
lowest depths of the Pit.”
Therefore,
when you’re out on the spiritual battlefield standing firm in the Lord against
Satan and all his demons. These are some helpful facts to know about the former
angel of light and how this little backstory can help you now how to fight, and
evade his attacks.
Facts to know about Lucifer
· Lucifer was the top dog. He was the chief
of all angels, so he was the highest of all the angels.
· Lucifer is a spirit being.
· Lucifer is the musical head choir
director. He was the leader of praise unto God.
· Lucifer can never be greater than the
Creator, because he is a creation.
· God and the Devil were in a war. The
Devil asserted himself against God and God humiliated him through man and made
that which was under him have victory over him.
Things you need to know about Satan
· Satan
only has the power you surrender unto Him, once you accepted and surrendered to
Jesus Christ
· Satan
has his own system in this world.
· Satan
gets us to surrender our power unto Him through lies.
· Satan
caused 1/3rd of the angels in heaven to rebel with Him.
· Satan
does not care about anyone. His main objective is to ruin anything God does.
· Satan
has been conquered by Jesus Christ and is a defeated foe.
Next we discussed if a person has a certain number of sins to reach
before they can be sent to Hell. A common myth in this world is that if you sin
too much or if your sin is too terrible then you cannot be forgiven by God, and
go into heaven. Let us line this theory up with the Word of God.
7. How
many sins will send you to Hell? The only sin that will send you to Hell is
not accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Adultery, fornication,
child molestation, theft, cursing etc…these sins are all equal and vile unto
God, but none of these sins will send you to Hell, only not accepting Christ.
Receiving Christ in your heart is the only way to be saved from your sins and to
reconnect you with God forever.
Romans 10:9 “…that if
you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
A person
is saved underneath the name of Jesus Christ, there is no name above His name.
Confess with your mouth and your heart, the mouth of the body, and the heart of
the spirit must be in sync, confessing the Lord Jesus is the Savior, and he or
she wants Jesus to be Lord and Savior of their lives. We are saved the moment we
“believe in our heart” God raised Him from the dead, and that Christ’s death
was more than enough to pay the debt for our sins.
It is
after we are saved and we sin when we confess our sins unto God and He will
forgive us. For it is because we have an established relationship with God
through Chris Jesus. So whenever Satan tries to make you think you lost your
salvation or your sin will send you to Hell remember this verse,à: (1 John 1:9 NKJV) “9 If
we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God’s forgiveness is always ready for us when
we sincerely confess our sins unto Him.
