Tonight
Pastor Stan answered ten of the most wanted questions from any believer or
unbeliever. Stick with us, through the first official blog of Just For Christ

1. Where
did the Bible come from?
2. Who wrote the Bible?
The Bible, the Word of God is given to
us by the Father in Heaven. The Bible is originally 66 books, it is a
collection, over a period of 1600 years, over 40 men to write it, and it is
divided into the Old (39 books written in Hebrew) and New Testament (27 books
written in Greek). There are some books of that were not included in the 66
books of the Bible, because they did not have a divine connection to the rest
of God’s Word. They did not contribute to the telling
of Jesus Christ, they did not add to the message of salvation. So when the
scholars came together to put the books together into one book, they did not
include it, because of these reasons.
Always keep in mind when
you’re explaining this concept to an unbeliever or factual human being. Always point out the
Word of God is not your Word but God’s
Word.

1:19-21 NKJV)
19 And so we
have the prophetic word confirmed,[a] which you do well to heed as a light that
shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your
hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any
private interpretation,[b] 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man,
but holy men of God[c] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
So
people or “holy men of God” who were commissioned by God were moved by the Holy
Spirit. Unlike men of today, these men were given the Word of God by the Spirit
of God. This we can confirm by the Word
because the Word only points to itself. There are two specific principles:
1. Men being reconciled “brought back
into union” with God
2. Men being reconciled to each other
3. Why
is there more than one version of the Bible? We have so many translations
because so many people could not read Hebrews and the Greek language. There were a lot of omissions
and reproductions because English did not have enough words to keep up with these old,
well established languages. Most of these new
translations start with the old Bible, once you start substituting these words,
its a problem because the
english language does not have the same extensive vocabulary.
For example: New Aged translations
remove the Word “virgin Mary” and replace
it with the Word “maiden”. This is a vital, scary difference, the meanings are completely
different, and you will miss the truths of the Word of God.
Every Christian Should Have Three Books
1. Lexicon—this
has all the verses in original language and has the
English underneath it.
2. Concordance—It
helps you look up verses and cross reference them.
3. Bible
Dictionary— this book helps you to keep the words you don’t
know in biblical context.
